Painting depicts an old rescue station located at Bald Head Island on the North Carolina coast. The main house had been burned by a stranded sailer trying to attract attention, so Bob had to reconstruct how the main building had looked from old photos and the remaining foundation. Boats were kept in the old boathouse and pushed down to sea when a rescue was being made.
