“Christmas Pals” depicts a scene in Bob’s Highway 47 studio window.
The scene is similar to “Best Friends” but Bob added his favorite one-eyed bear instead of the Raggedy Ann doll. The bear’s name is “Patches”. He was the inspiration to start the highly successful annual “Teddy Bear Ball” for Duke Children’s Hospital and has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the children’s care at Duke.
