Bob has duck hunted there for many years. The scene was painted on the south side of a weathered barn owned by Bob's close friend and long-time hunting partner, Ronnie Wade. Knott's Island has a long-standing tradition of waterfowling and decoy carving. It is a historical island in Northeast North Carolina.
