The Story

“N.C Mallards was a painting for an idea to

encourage the N.C Wildlife Duck Stamp program in the early days.

I bowed out of the competition for another artist to create the stamp and in doing so, insisted they

use a N.C. artist each year for the annual stamp.

They didn’t take my advice and sadly chose an artist out of state.

Mallards are beautiful and one of my favorites of all ducks.

I can enjoy them even if “not on the spot.” - Bob
